It Is All About the Time Stamp Wildfires (Too Tragic to Brag)
This is short — just a few quick pictures. It is now 11:45 on Tuesday June 25th. Top story in my browser: SF Gate Fast-Spreading Wildfire Triggers Evacuations in Northern California
Last night between 8PM and 9PM the Apache Fire, near Oroville in Butte County, went from 30 acres to 500 acres. On ArcGIS I couldn’t see the fire’s perimeters
But back on June 3, Athena ran an analysis of the area:
Including those areas at highest risk for dangerous, catastrophic wildfires if an ignition occurred.
Lots more information about Athena and its wildfire risk assessment model can be found here, or LinkedIn, or our Case Studies at AthenaIntel.io
Athena Intelligence is a data vendor with a geospatial, conditional, profiling tool that pulls together vast amounts of disaggregated wildfire and environmental data to generate spatial intelligence, resulting in a digital fingerprint of wildfire risk. (athenaintel.io)
Clients include electric utilities, communities, insurance and financial services companies, where Athena’s geospatial intelligence incorporated into wildfire mitigation plans (WMP) and public safety power shutoffs (PSPS), Community Wildfire Protection Plans (CWPP), property insurance underwriting and portfolio risk optimization.
